Looks like a decent, if not spectacular, garden rental.
Hmm, maybe they opened it up later? I’m pretty sure it was closed off when we were there (around 1:15PM). I asked someone who looked like they were in charge and they said it was closed.
How did it look?
Hmmm… I went into the garden apt…as did several other people who were there at the time.
Correction, that should be “couldn’t go into”, not could!
I was disapointed we could go into the garden apt or the basement.
I guess you are probably right that those are not major. I still find it weird how much houses settle here though!
ncarty–I was there too. Don’t think those are major structural flaws. My house, built in very similar style and similar era, has slanting stairs as well (more so than that house) but the engineer said it was structurally sound. Agreed about some of the nice dark floors.
Went to the downing street open house yesterday. Very nice house, but definitely could use some work. Looked like it had structural issues too. The stairs to the top floor definitely slanted, and when you looked at the doorframe for one of the closets and the ceiling above it, the distance between was about twice on the left than the right.
Gorgeous dark wood floors with nice light walls.
Arch, (I really mean this).. thank you for your insight.. I appreciated HOW you said it, as well as WHAT you said. I have been very fortunate to have not only “survived” this past 3-5 years, but also to have made a decent living.
Too often, the comments a poster makes are hurtful, and personal, and those folks can, well you know, take a hike. I appreciate that you seen to know who I am, and if you really do, you will know that I consider myself professional and honest. I also know that there is room for improvement in anyone, and I’ll be taking some immediate steps to improve the quality of my product, including replacing the inferior pics of my listing.
We had a great turnout at Rugby, and hopefully there will be an offer presented later today. I’ll keep you posted!

What I’m saying Witz, is just constructive criticism… You haven’t had listings in VF in awhile. The competition is fierce in terms of presentation these days. You need to step up your listings/pictures to attract more potential buyers. I actually looked at a few of your listings back in the day when I was house hunting, so I know your presentation/the Fillmore model, hasn’t really kept pace with what other agencies are doing. I actually bought my house through another Fillmore agent, but I’m willing to hunt a little harder and overlook more than most folks. I do think better presentation will help you attract the kind of buyers who are willing to buy in gentrified VF with it’s accompanying higher prices.
