Here’s an updated photo of the Seersucker facade. As we reported yesterday, the southern food spot is replacing the old Pita Grill at 329 Smith Street. We just got an email this morning from one of the owners assuring us that it would indeed be open for business tonight. You can check out the menu here. GMAP

  1. Hey Seersucker, you had some great press to get me to come to Brunch today. Your website says Brunch starts at 10. I showed up at 10:30 and was turned away and told it actually started at 11. Lost a customer.

  2. This is an extraordinary restaurant that is so clearly someone’s labor of love. The food is beyond delicious, the atmosphere is lovely (I love the cool calm of the weathered, chalky white brick wall) and the authenticity is certainly there. Not another comfort food spot, but rather a real foodie moment for Smith St. that will attract people from all over who love a fresh, refined take on incredibly tasty Southern food. My meal reminded me of the low-country cuisine that I loved as a child vacationing in South Carolina. I’ll be here often and I feel lucky to have Seersucker in the neighborhood. Where else am I going to find deviled eggs better than my Kentucky grandma used to make!
