There doesn’t appear to be anyone living at Hello Living’s Dakota at 904 Pacific Street but that didn’t stop one man from using its doorway as a nap spot on Monday. The building’s been in a bit of a holding pattern for the last few months—Aguayo & Huebener stopped listing the units last fall, and Triumph, which is listed on StreetEasy as the most recent broker, doesn’t have the building on its website—on account of a pesky lawsuit between the investors and developer. It’s too bad, too, because the units look pretty nice here.
We looked at a 2br here back in late November. Lots of bells and whistles, but not terribly livable–bedrooms designed to hold a twin bed, closets only 30 inches wide. More like a vacation timeshare than a home.
i know for a fact that a foreign-accented broker showed this building and a few of the neighboring buildings (there are a few generic same-looking “luxe” buildings on this block”) to a group of moneyed-looking orthodox Jewish investors (definitely looking for investment, not housing) yesterday afternoon. The broker also told me that in neighboring 916 Pacific there is only 1 apt occupied.
hm, that’s not insensitive or anything…
