After a long period of inactivity, things have picked up again in the past few weeks tat 137 5th Avenue in Park Slope. The new corner building is going to have four floor-through units with a ground-floor retail space. (The gray brick structure on the side looks like it will be the shared elevator.) Here’s a rendering, although from construction it looks like it may be heading in a somewhat different direction.

  1. Yes, Emily (whoever you are), you could have at least given me credit for posting this on the Forum two days ago! (And my picture is better, showing the corner and the windows on both sides of the building.) And Park Place gets credit for finding the rendering.

  2. wait that’s not the one i thought.. the one im thinking of is on a side street between 5th and 4th that hasnt been worked on in what seems like forever. it has yellow stuff on it and it looks like the concrete is corroding. i think there might be squatters in there using it as a clubhouse or something. cuz there’s always like cans and stuff inside, unless people are just throwing it in from the sidewalk
