We’ve been desperate for groceries in this neighborhood. The Key Food on Myrtle is a disaster, though the Food Dimensions by Broadway is actually pretty awesome. Is this new store owned by the Hasidics? Just curious.
This is actually near me. I hope it’s a great market, because our area of Bed-Stuy could use it. My feet are tired from dragging groceries home from other areas…
Are there secret Hasidic supermarkets? Pomegranate is basically a (slightly) cheaper Whole Foods with parking.
Rob — Totally agree. Frequently the price of groceries comes up when I talk to my mother… I think she pays about 1/2 or less for most things in her town in Georgia.
Is Ronzoni spaghetti Kosher???
Makes sense due to the changing demographics over there, as the Orthodox community in Southside has expanded into this area of Bedford Stuyvesant.

I’ve never shopped at one of the Hasidic supermarkets, like the one on Wythe or the one on Flushing…are they open to the public?

blame the people who continue to buy their ridiculously high priced groceries and other things. i mean, yeah if there’s gonna be people buying it for insane prices, id charge an arm and a leg too!
