Nostrand Park picked up that the pawn shop signs that went up on Franklin and Park last week are coming down. The blog doesn’t know for sure that the pawn shop will not be moving in, and I Love Franklin Avenue says “The owner has offered to take down the glaring signs and replace them with something less obvious and perhaps less likely to attract a criminal element.” After this situation, Nostrand Park notes “there is a not too subtle message to business and property owners about the expectations that residents of this community have for establishments that open up here.”

Maybe one of those old symbols the three hanging spheres. Because the odds are 3 to 1 you don’t get your stuff back.
betcha they are just changing the sign i was thinking before i saw first comment….
Thanks, novanglus! Updating now.
Not so fast on it not moving in. From ILFA:
“Where to from here? To his credit, the owner has offered to take down the glaring signs (above) and replace them with something less obvious and perhaps less likely to attract a criminal element. That’s a start, but it’s not really a solution.”
