A couple of weeks ago we ran a video of the modular components of the Building 92 Addition being lowered into place by a crane outside the Brooklyn Navy Yard on Flushing Avenue. When we cycled past the future Historical Center this morning, we noticed that the building was already topped out–and probably has been for a few days. In addition, the original building has just gotten some of its windows installed, just in time for the cold weather. In related news, the meeting that had been scheduled by the National Guard for November 17 to discuss the stabilization of Building B and future plans for the Timber Shed has been postponed due to recent evaluations by structural engineers and health and safety officers. No word on the new date yet. In the meantime, as the photo on the jump shows, it’s time for a clean-up of the Flushing Avenue sidewalk in front of Admirals Row.
