That was quick. Over the long weekend the longstanding restaurant Kush was ripped out and a new decor and awning went up announcing its replacement: Hill Cafe. Locals will be happy to hear that the ownership remains the same. The new restaurant, which could open as soon as Friday, will emphasize fresh, seasonal food. GMAP

Glad to hear its same owners. They definitely were trailblazers over here and hopefully their hard work will pay off with this new venture.
They have actually been working on the renovation for about two weeks. Like many in the neighborhood I have appreciated both the fine food provided by Sammy and his staff as well as the valiant efforts they have made to keep the restaurant going in an area which has only recently turned the corner (we hope) to commercial vibrancy.
Yay! I was confused because I was told they were closed for renovations and then I saw the new name and I was all like “WTF?”.
