101 Boerum Shows Its True Colors
When we last checked up on the development at 101 Boerum Place, a commenter let us know that the husband-and-wife architect team behind the project was actually blogging the project. (Big ups!) It’s time for another check-in: Just recently, the sidewalk shed came down, revealing the more or less finished facade. Do you like? Development…

Development Watch: 101 Boerum [Brownstoner]
Are they selling one? How much do we think it will cost?
And just how loud will it be 150 feet or so from the Atlantic/Boerum intersection?
Reminds me of the Borg. RESISTANCE IS FUTILE
I am told wife/husband team is taking one house and they contract on other.
The facade is not done
Ghastly.
Agreed it looked better w/o the row of bricks down the middle.
Taking that thought a different direction, anyone think this would look better if it was only one townhouse (instead of two identical twins)??
Just cover-up the the left half of the bldg picture with your hand and it looks better IMO.
^^^ YES!^^^
Its not borg – its Cylon. Id be great fun if you owned the top floor to slowly go back and forth with a huge red light
It reminds of people who wear glasses that are too big for their face.
I think it looked a bit better without the row of bricks down the middle as seen in the rendering:

Pretty successful couple seeing that they are able to still find affordable vacant land and build two family homes that sell at a profit. I know people who have tried to build and eventually had to give up after encountering so many obstacles in their way, financial and bureaucratic.
A recent 2005 project 303 St. Marks Avenue is smaller, but similar in design. It sold for $1.875 million.
Anyone out there considering doing something like this should seriously consider John and Jill as they have a proven track record.

I’m not impressed.
