When we last checked up on the development at 101 Boerum Place, a commenter let us know that the husband-and-wife architect team behind the project was actually blogging the project. (Big ups!) It’s time for another check-in: Just recently, the sidewalk shed came down, revealing the more or less finished facade. Do you like?

  1. Agreed it looked better w/o the row of bricks down the middle.

Taking that thought a different direction, anyone think this would look better if it was only one townhouse (instead of two identical twins)??

Just cover-up the the left half of the bldg picture with your hand and it looks better IMO.

  2. Pretty successful couple seeing that they are able to still find affordable vacant land and build two family homes that sell at a profit. I know people who have tried to build and eventually had to give up after encountering so many obstacles in their way, financial and bureaucratic.

A recent 2005 project 303 St. Marks Avenue is smaller, but similar in design. It sold for $1.875 million.

Anyone out there considering doing something like this should seriously consider John and Jill as they have a proven track record.
