In the video above, New York Shitty documents a rally held yesterday pushing for the MTA to make good on a promise it made six years ago to hand over a parcel at 65 Commercial Street to the city so it would be turned into a public park. The Daily News has a bit more: “The city promised the park when the area was rezoned in 2005 to allow for luxury waterfront condo towers – and the MTA committed to give up the site as long as the city found it another space. But the agency has balked at moving its buses, Access-a-Ride vans and emergency vehicles, saying none of the sites – about 10 – the city has offered is any good.”
