The only thing we can possibly find to criticize about this new townhouse listing at 104 Lincoln Place is the building width–and, at 18 feet, even that’s not too bad. Otherwise, you can check all the boxes: original detail, prime Slope location, nicely renovated kitchen. Maybe for some the double-duplex configuration is a negative, but for others. it’ll be a way to help swing the payments on the $2,390,000 asking price. Anyway, we think this’ll go pretty darn close to the asking price. You?

  1. EHinBH – There is a church on the corner but no Sunday double parking – just parking which is a pain except it means spaces free up in the afternoon when neighbors are returning from weekend.

  2. rationalist = Do you mean 100? I know the owner of that – he lives in NJ & is a contractor. He’s done quite a lot of work on it in the past year & I thought there were people in it.
I know one of those houses didn’t get shoveled at all on stoop or steps but the pavement was cleared.

  3. As for the crack house, all one has to do is a little surveillance at night, and barring that, try asking at the precinct about complaints.

11217, is there an explanation for why this house has sat for so long?

You will undoubtedly say price. But I wonder.

And can anyone shed light on the empty house two doors down–empty, neglected, derelict. Is it also awaiting renovation?

  4. kayemtee, that was something I was noticing also. At that price, I definitely want gracious spaces, not a living room that has tenement proportions. Maybe the kitchen looks better in person, but it seems to have a pretty forlorn look. I guess $2.4 million just doesn’t go very far these days.

  5. I live a few doors up & the house across the street is not a crack den. One of the people who lives there has been in & out of jail. I’m told his mind was blown on drugs in Viet Nam.
