As we announced a couple of months ago, the Brooklyn Flea is expanding to Williamsburg next month. Contrary to some rumors, The Flea is NOT leaving Fort Greene; rather, it will be in its flagship location at Lafayette and Vanderbilt on Saturdays as per usual starting April 2 and then launch on Sundays on the Williamsburg waterfront on April 3. The new Flea location is between North 6th and North 7th Street on the eventual site of the third Edge building. We stopped by yesterday to see how the grading of the site was going. It’s all very down to the wire but it’s looking like everything will be done in time. Wait ’til you get to take in that view while scarfing down a pupusa or Asia Dog. Yum! For more info, check out the Markets page of the recently-revamped Brooklyn Flea website.

  1. > keep all the look alike hipsters in the burg

Yes, thank heavens these hipsters haven’t managed to infiltrate any other parts of Brooklyn. That knowledge is the only thing that lets me sleep at night.

  2. I’m sorry but just how much over-priced costume jewelry, ratty vintage overcoats, and screen-printed t-shirts does the world need? Or would some people simply stop functioning if they couldn’t spend every free waking moment consuming? Go to Williamsburg and good riddance. Now I’m gonna go join the Church of Stop Shopping.
