The 13-unit addition to 20 Henry is getting under way, more than five months after the development’s reboot was officially announced. A peek inside the construction fence shows the very beginnings of what will be a four-story building with a garden and courtyard in the middle. You can get a feel for the finished project over at the 20 Henry website. When all’s said and done, the existing Peaks Mason Mints building will have 25 units and the new building will have 14.

  1. i use my garden deck and have planted it out already this year and agree place looked better with it, but market rolls over all of us and garden was never used…. nyc apt. owners don’t use them, fact of life

  2. I agree with garden in concept, but no one ever used in when it was a rental and no one will use it when a condo. Look at balconies and backyards closely. Rarely used.

  3. They should have kept that garden area rather than build out every possible square inch of condo. A nice private garden would have made the units in the warehouse building more desirable and the rest of us would have enjoyed the greenery and openness of the garden as well. The neighborhood benefits enormously from its collection of private rear and side gardens. If they all get built out like this, it will mean the end of the desirability of the area. really.

  4. Minard’s sarcasm aside, I’d rather see the project finished than sitting derelict. Interested to see how they turn out. I recall not being terribly impressed when I last saw layouts.
