More Progress at Smith & Second Subway Stop

Last week scaffolding came down around the subway entrance at Smith and 2nd Place that’s been closed for the construction of 360 Smith Street, and now there’s been further action at the station: A metal grate has been installed at the entrance’s mouth. The station entrance has been closed since fall 2009. In late January, an MTA rep told the community it would be reopening this February, according to Pardon Me for Asking, but obviously that didn’t happen.
