Window Sill Flower Pots
Does anyone know if there is any rule against window sill flower boxes in buildings lower than 6 stories. I am familiar with Local Law 11, but what about having flower boxes in a widow sill on a 4-story Row House?

Bluestone ?
Hi there - we are in the final stages of renovating our home and we want to create a walkway in our yard out of some stone (instead of concrete).
Does anyone have any bluestone left over from a project you want off your hands? We will gladly come and pick it up! Thanks!

Doggie Jail
We're buying an apartment with a small fenced-in outdoor area. About a third of the outdoor area is dirt, and the rest is poured cement. There's a gap between the bottom of the fence and we're worried that our small dog will be able to wriggle through.
The large gap over the dirt can easily be filled (perhaps anchor a small piece of metal or wood fencing in the dirt, fronted by plants). However, we haven't come up with an attractive solution to narrow or cover the gap over the cement portion. Can anyone think of any low-cost solutions? We'd like to remove the concrete at some point, but it's just not in the budget for now. The gap is approximately 5 inches high.

Lawn Under Snow
The snow is beautiful. That said, I have a question about what is best to to do protect our lawn. I assume I have 2 decent options
1. leave as is, dont walk on it or disturb it assuming that the snow will transmit enough light to the grass to keep it alive and might actually give it an insulating layer. I am guessing that walking on it / depressing the snow to compacted ice on the grass will kill the grass.
2. shovel / rake the snow off the lawn completely - a huge job but not impossible. This would give most light to the grass and prevent it getting locked in ice.
What is the best option? Should I do something altogether different or is it to late to protect it or is it a lost cause regardless.
Enjoying the snow but looking forward to green grass in spring!

Backyard Patio
I'm looking to install a flagstone or bluestone patio in my backyard. Any recommendations for a craftsman who can handle that for me would be very appreciated. Please email recommendations to mcmiller100@yahoo.com.
