Custom Shower Glass and Hardware
Hi Folks,
Am completing a new shower space that requires custom shower glass, hardware and installation.
Anyone have experiences with this good & bad, and perhaps references.
Will appreciate any and info.
Thanks

Anyone Know a Glass Guy?
Hey, out there, I need to get a frameless shower door rehung (the one on the left doesn't close all the way), and have the rubber lining of the door replaced. I can't remember where we got the setup (and the guys who installed it were subcontractors hired by the glass people). Anyone know who can do this work? I'm in Cobble Hill.

Wheel cut glass
I was in the process of posting the following comment to a post on Wheel Cut Glass by Tomas Tisch (the post was removed):
I don't normally comment on posts by vendors etc but this is a special case. Tomas reproduced 3 panes in our house that we needed to complete the sets in our parlor floor entrance & pocket doors (2 missing when we got our house & 1 I broke during our renovation *$&%*##!). Because he uses the same tools/techniques used in making the originals (& knows how to use them no less), the results are outstanding / indistinguishable. The glass is a pleasure to look at with its play on light passing through the cut design.
I did research (incl with Brownstoner) on alternatives both in terms of cheaper more approximate reproductions and also other wheel-cut glass specialists. Some alternatives would have cost less (though I feel his pricing was reasonable) but would not have matched at all / been very poor substitutes. I believe we are very lucky in Brooklyn (if I remember correctly the next closest alternative was in Pennsylvania somewhere) to have someone who has the skills & tools to do this dying art.
PS one of my old question posts on brownstoner is below (though the photo doesn't do justice to the end result):

Professional Mirror Hangers
Can anyone recommend anyone who specializes in hanging mirrors? I have a large, heavy mirror that I want to hang over a stairwell, which has my handyman very leery. I think using a pro is the best way to go. There was one recommendation in the archives that was about 3 years old, so I thought I'd do a more recent inquiry. Thanks!

Stained Glass
Can anyone recommend a good, hopefully reasonably priced stained glass artisan? I have two items in need of repair.

FYI - Action Glass
Action Glass now charges $65 to come out and give you an estimate. It will be deducted off your bill if you decide to go with them, but really, what up with this??? They should see an immediate drop off in business.

Glass Recommendation
We just had a frameless shower glass enclosure installed (3 feet x 4 feet X 8 feet tall)-two full walls of glass with a swinging door. It looks amazing and the pricing was very fair, we would highly recommend the company. They also provided us with a piece of frosted glass for a pocket door, installed that –everything they did looks great!

Frameless Shower Enclosure
Based on forum look ups, I see Parthenon, ABC and RB Wyatt . Who else should we contact for a frameless glass shower enclosure? Is there anyone to avoid? Thanks.

Repair to Mirror on Bifold Door
I have a small mirrored bifold door on a cupboard in an apartment on UWS. On of mirrors has a crack and I was looking for a glazier/handyman to make the repair. I know its not Brooklyn but the recommendations on here are so good I thought I'd stretch the boundaries.
Thanks for your recomendations.

Frameless glass shower enclosure
I recently got a quote for a frameless glass shower enclosure from Square Deal Glass. However I haven't heard from them in a while - I was awaiting more info about their hardware styles. Anyway, I'm sick of getting our new tile floor wet and am thinking about finding a new shop to work with.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a company that can do this?
