Hiding the Hideous HVAC

guest room master

The individual HVAC units that were designed to sit in the wall in plain view were so horrifyingly ugly that we had to go to Plan B and build recessed boxes to hide the offending units. We're in the process of salvaging old grills and registers to cover up the holes. In the photo on the right, in addition to the AC cut-out, you can also see the controversial interior bathroom window that has been roughed in.

They're not cheap (especially if you go with brass) but Reggio Registers make beautiful products in every possible size configuration. I used their cast iron registers on my floors and they look great. If you request a catalog it will probably come with a coupon for 10% off your first order (mine did).
