Here's a view of the yard after being purged of the old shed and much of the brambles. Grandma Brownstoner is preparing some ideas of how to design the garden, though it's unlikely we will be able to focus on it until September. Our backyard two years ago was a forest of 7 foot high weeds when we moved in. Nothing grew. I tilled the soil over the last two years and now EVERYTHING grows back there. Keep it healthy! Posted by: Tom at May 23, 2005 11:23 AM Take the time now to observe how your sun falls over the yard. Full sun, partial sun, partial shade, shade are all things to consider. From the looks of the pic, the back of the yard by the fence is your sunniest spot. If you want to grow veggies with the kids that might be your spot. Posted by: Anonymous at May 23, 2005 1:04 PM |
