Trough Sink Mounted in Kids' Bathroom

sink

It turned out to be quite a bear to mount this trough sink. Finding faucets that work with it has also been quite difficult. Nevertheless, we think it'll be a cute touch to the kids' bathroom.

can you please provide sources for the sink and faucets? love this idea....not in NYC, so brand names would be best. thanks

This (and others we have seen like it) are all vintage/salvage. Quite heavy to ship, so best found locally at salvage stores. Where are you located?

looks great. we are about to mount the one you featured from moon river chattel on a new wall. any suggestions/warnings? we found two legs from good olde things to support the front....looks like you're supporting completely on the wall. how did you reinforce? would be great to get a heads up before we dive in. thanks. just out of curiosity...what's the height of the faucet from the floor?

I saw this a few years ago in a home magazine and loved the idea! The couple being profiled were also using it in their kids' bathroom. The only difference is the underside of the sink was painted matte black, which gave it a great look (plus also concealed any inevitable dirt that would occur in a kid's bahroom).

We probably will paint it some other color--maybe black...

Try Demolition Depot on 125th Street--or call up to the Olde Good Things warehouse in Scranton, PA.
