To celebrate the launch of Brownstoner magazine and the publication of its first issue, Brownstoner is holding a networking event and reception Wednesday, August 9 at Empire Stores. The evening is the second event in the free Brooklyn real estate networking series, Brownstoner Open Houses.

Artist Evan Sklar’s evocative and expressive drawings of Brooklyn street scenes will be on display in the atrium of the historic warehouses. A selection of his recent work is featured in the Spring/Summer 2017 issue of Brownstoner magazine.

Pick up a copy and meet Brownstoner magazine contributors, readers and Brooklyn real estate professionals at the soirée, sponsored by Empire Stores, Dime Community Bank and PropertyShark. There will be drinks and food in the beautiful setting overlooking the East River, the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges, and Jane’s Carousel.

Empire Stores is a complex of seven landmarked 1869 brick warehouses in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Developed by Midtown Equities, Rockwood Capital and HK Organization with design by Studio V and S9 Architecture, Empire Stores recently reopened to the public as a mixed-use space whose tenants include Brooklyn Historic Society, Vinegar Hill House and West Elm.

The event takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. in the atrium of Empire Stores at 53-83 Water Street in Dumbo.
