Locals unveiled the signage for the Bay Ridge Parkway Doctors’ Row Historic District on Friday, October 28, a reader let us know. Props to the block association for pushing to landmark Bay Ridge’s first historic district.
The two intact rows of bay-fronted limestone houses on Bay Ridge Parkway between 4th and 5th avenues were designated by the Landmarks Preservation Commission in June of 2019. The group of 54 houses earned the moniker Doctors’ Row due to the concentration of medical professionals who lived and worked in the houses in the past and present, according to the LPC report.
