Brush up on your local history while admiring streets chock full of architectural delights with a new walking tour of Flatbush.
The Historic District Council, which included “Victorian Flatbush” as one of its Six to Celebrate in 2012, is hosting an in-person stroll through Prospect Park South and Ditmas Park as part of its summer tour program. Guide Lucie Levine will lead a group of history enthusiasts past a cornucopia of examples of late 19th and early 20th century architectural styles while sharing tales of the evolution of Flatbush from farmland to leafy suburb.
Space is limited for the tour on Wednesday, August 25 at 5 p.m. and tickets are $30 and $25 for members and seniors. For more information, visit the event page online.
