New homeowners found a notice from the Bureau of Fire Prevention Inspectors that access was required for an inspection of their boiler. Their house, a purchased flip, has a gas boiler but it was previously oil. Could this be the reason for the notice? The notice warned that they could rack up a fine for not complying.
The homeowners are looking for advice on what the inspection might involve and if it is a legitimate notice. Please chime in with your advice.
