A buyer is looking at a house that was gutted for conversion from a SRO to a two-family residence.
A buyer is looking at a house that was gutted for conversion from a SRO to a two-family residence. There are tenants in place but the permits were never closed out and there is no certificate of occupancy. The house is a good deal but the buyer is worried about the former SRO status and wondering if untangling all the potential issues will rack up more costs than the house is worth.
