From the Forum: Bringing a Ladder Back to the Library
A homeowner wants to install a library ladder along their original built-in bookshelf and is looking for some DIY options.
Surviving built-in bookshelves are a marvelous original feature when you can get them. One homeowner would like to get the best use out of their tall built-ins by adding a library ladder to access the upper shelves. They are thinking of going the DYI route and are finding the hardware rather pricey. What less expensive alternatives are out there? Any DIY suggestions that others have tried?
Please chime in with any advice.
