The five-story building at 400 Lincoln Place in Prospect Heights will receive a “building-wide energy retrofit” thanks to the Community Preservation Corporation. CPC is funding the overhaul of the 46-unit property off Washington as part of its Green Financing Initiative, which means the remodeling plans incorporate energy retrofit items, including air sealing of common areas, installation of a new hot water heater, upgrading the heating system distribution, and the construction of a new roof deck. Construction should begin soon but there’s no set time frame on how long it will last. GMAP
