Enjoy an autumnal stroll through the history-rich streets of Bed Stuy with a walking tour from the Municipal Art Society.
While previous tour offerings have led walkers through Stuyvesant Heights and Central Bed Stuy, this edition focuses on Western Bed Stuy. Brownstoner columnist Suzanne Spellen (aka Montrose Morris) and Morgan Munsey, both preservationists, will lead participants on an exploration of the development of the area and the stories behind the residential architecture, houses of worship, clubhouses and even a bit of Art Deco architecture.
The in-person tour takes place on Saturday, November 19 at 2 p.m. Tours take place rain or shine and last about 90 minutes. Tickets are $30 ($20 for Municipal Art Society members). For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the event page online.
