After a few false alarms, the latest in the Bed-Vyne mini-empire, Bed-Vyne Cocktail, opened two weeks ago at 305 Halsey Street in Bed Stuy. We stopped in for a drink Saturday night, and the joint was jumping with a super-friendly, neighborhood-y vibe.
The decor is old-school bar: The room is painted black. The music was mellow and classic, including rap and soul.
The owners hope to serve food from the Royal Rib House next door, but for now it’s just drinks.
The unusual cocktail menu features a long list of inventive Old Fashioneds, including tequila with mole bitters and gin with orange bitters. A sign outside is coming.
