Take in some inspiring views at a new group exhibition.
Eight painters who use the great outdoors as their studio will be showing their work in Industry City. All are dedicated to painting en plein air — working outside to capture the world before them. Some of the painters gather together regularly at a chosen spot, each producing their own interpretation of the view. Painters included in the exhibition are Rene Barkett, Frieda Christofides, Phil Desantis, Susan Greenstein, Diane Hu, Janet Pedersen, Clare Stokolosa and Ella Yang.
The show, “Outside Painters: A Group Exhibition of Plein Air Artists,” opens with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 14 and runs through Sunday, March 29 at Court Street Collective at 51 35th Street, Building #5. For more information on gallery hours, visit the info page online.
