Trump signed into law Friday a bipartisan $2 trillion aid package designed to tide over the country while we shelter in place. It includes full pay for the unemployed and freelancers as well as loans for business so people can pay for food, housing and other necessities, and companies can meet payroll while all but essential businesses are shut down. Meanwhile, the lack of protective gear is hitting New York City hospitals hard, with medical staff contracting the virus and passing it on to patients, according to the New York Times and other reports.
