The Municipal Art Society’s virtual tour “Let’s Get Physical: Brooklyn’s 19th Century Journey to Fitness” with Brownstoner columnist and preservationist Suzanne Spellen will take a dive into the clubs and gurus that offered borough residents a chance to shape up.
The tour takes place on Thursday, February 24 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25 ($15 for MAS members) and can be reserved at the tour page online.
If you want to get out and stretch your legs, there is another tour offering. Stroll through Vinegar Hill with guide Lucie Levine for an exploration of centuries of immigration and industrial and architectural history in the neighborhood. The in-person tour on Saturday, February 19 at 11 a.m. is limited to 20 attendees. Tickets are $30 ($20 for MAS members) and can be reserved online.
