Cafe Habana is expanding its operations in Brooklyn with Habana To Go. It’s located at 690 Fulton in Fort Greene, right across the street from Habana Outpost, the chain’s solar powered restaurant with a huge outdoor space that is now closed for the season. Habana To Go will offer takeout and delivery, according to the sign posted on its window. No word on when it will open, but it looks like they are close to ready.
The sign painted on the building above the shop, in case you are wondering, refers to Habana Works, which programs activities at Habana Outpost. Or, in the words of its website, it provides “free, hands-on programs that celebrate urban environmentalism as a means of contributing to an educated and engaged community in downtown Brooklyn.” Click through to the jump for a closeup of the takeout shop.
