It’s not even Thanksgiving yet, but lights are already appearing all over the city and the Christmas market is under construction in Union Square. If you’re in the mood for delicious holiday food and gifts here in Brooklyn, check out the Danish Christmas Fair this weekend at the Danish Seamen’s Church in Brooklyn Heights. They’ll be serving up Danish open-faced sandwiches, puffy pastries with jam and powdered sugar, hot dogs, and mulled wine and beer.
And you can buy Christmas decorations, hand-knitted clothes, and Danish design items as Christmas gifts. All the purchases go toward supporting the church and its activities. The gift shop and courtyard serving food and drinks will be open at the Danish Seamen’s Church at 102 Willow Street in Brooklyn Heights from 11 am to 5 pm on Saturday and 11 am to 3 pm on Sunday. More food and drink will be served on Saturday nearby at Plymouth Church at 75 Hicks Street.
