Experience cool performances, films, gallery talks and craft projects tomorrow at Brooklyn Museum’s First Saturday, where everything is free from 5 to 11 pm. Dendê and Band will kick off the evening with Brazilian music mixed with Afrobeat, reggae and merengue, and then performance group Purring Tiger will present scenes from an interactive dance and multimedia performance called Mizaru.

There will also be short talks about the museum’s collection, a mosaic tile-making workshop and musical performances throughout the evening. The film screening is “Heavy Metal in Baghdad,” a movie about an Iraqi metal band’s experiences during the Iraq War. Some events require free tickets, which you can get at the visitor center. Check out the full schedule here on the museum’s website.
