Not being frequenters of the BK Lounge, we’re not sure if this is old news or not, but a reader recently pointed out to us that the Burger King on the Fulton Mall had recently been revamped — apparently to raise its game in the face of the hugely successful Shake Shack just a few doors down. Based on these photos, it certainly does seem that they went above and beyond the standard finishes. And judging from the lines at 5 pm, they’re not doing too badly. 1. By the way–unrelated question: Does anybody know whom to contact regarding log-in issues? Ever since Disqus was upgraded a few months ago, I have not been able to use my newer account (which is tied to my most current email address, etc…). The help page tells me to reset my password, but I don’t get any of the confirmation emails the system is supposed to send. I checked my SPAM folder as well, and they’re not in there…

  2. This design is actually the same as what they used in the [now closed] BK Lounge near Times Square, so it seems doubtful the design was in reaction to Shake Shack’s presence. Now, making this space a BK Lounge versus a standard BK…. THAT might be due to Shake Shack!

  3. Macy’s at the Fulton Mall is horrendous. I have not gone in there in years. The customer service, appearance of the store and substandard merchandise are disrespectful. I guess that’s what Macy’s thinks of their customers in the Fulton Mall area.
