A reader sent in this photo of a ghost bike and a traffic sign hit by a car (or another vehicle) on the corner of Jay and Sand streets in Dumbo.
The young man killed there in 2014 was Matthew Brenner, according to the ghost bike map online. He lived on Tillary Street, according to Streetsblog.
“I pass by often,” said our tipster, noting the crash must have taken place sometime between Sunday and Tuesday.
When Brownstoner passed by Wednesday, the city had already cleaned up the wreckage and there was no sign of the bike or traffic sign.
