Los Pollitos expanded its growing culinary empire with the opening of its third location on Myrtle Avenue in Clinton Hill. Starting with a small take-out stand in Sunset Park several years ago, owner Armando Zumba now owns five restaurants in all. The Park Slope resident was serving up 1/2 price appetizers and margaritas at the kick-off party last Thursday. Located at Myrtle and Ryerson, the restaurant adds momentum to Myrtle Avenue’s transformation from what was referred as recently as a couple years ago as Murder Ave. If anyone’s had a chance to eat here yet, please chime in. Los Pollitos III is located at 499 Myrtle Avenue, 718-636-6125.

  1. Los Pollitos III is without a doubt the best mexican in clinton hill. Its usually under a dollar more than castros for the same dish, and the food is much better. You don’t get quite as much as you do from castros but its usually worth it. They also have a good bar and a big plasma playing nba games. Everything is percisley dressed/flavored, and you can tell the ingredients are quality. The vegan choices are excellent as well. i like the spinach burrito.

  2. I DROPPED IN LATE SATURDAY NITE AROUND 11. THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS, THE PRICES REASONABLE & I DIDN’T FEEL RUSHED BECAUSE IT CLOSED AT 12. CAME BACK SUNDAY FOR BRUNCH. VERY SATISFIED. WHAT’S UP WITH THE CREDIT CARD SITUATION?

  3. haven’t tried this location yet… but i had the rotisserie bird from Park Slope (after i read it was to be the best)… its cool if you think chicken is supossed to taste like chalk!

    I’ll pass

btw- Luz on Vanderbilt has the best roasted birds in BK (the brunch is great too).
