The special PLG House & Garden Tour edition of the Lefferts Manor Echo — the newsletter of the Lefferts Manor Association, for the uninitiated — is out, longtime Prospect Lefferts Gardens resident and Brownstoner reader Bob Marvin let us know.

Don’t miss the story about rehabbing some giant antique radiators — one so big it took five men more than three hours to get it up the stairs to the second floor. Another squib tells of the annual PLG Arts Fest, coming up the weekend of June 22 and 23 with art and music by local creatives. An ad notes the first Great PLG Stoop and Sidewalk Sale takes place Saturday, June 8.

Also profiled are each of the eight townhouses on the house tour this year, back after a five-year absence due to Covid. Highlights include a Romanesque Revival whose decor looks like it “stepped off the pages of a British design magazine” and two originally identical homes with diverging updates. Notably, this year the tour includes “The Lefferts Lounge,” set in a “lush backyard” with live music arranged by PLG Arts, beverages, a wine tasting, and a cocktail-mixing demo.
