Converse Around the Campfire in Prospect Park
As spring approaches and Brooklynites get back outside, Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Public Library are holding a new series of events to engage Brooklyn residents in conversation around the campfire.

Fancy some grown-up chat around a roaring campfire? The Prospect Park Alliance and the Brooklyn Public Library are hosting a series of themed conversations outside the historic Lefferts House in Prospect Park.

Campfire Conversations takes place the first Saturday of every month, with a discussion topic facilitated by a subject expert.
March’s theme is Changes and Transformations, which will focus on “the shifting realities impacting the nation,” according to the writeup. The conversation will be led by writer, comic and filmmaker Katie Halper.
There will also be musical performances from singer-songwriter Irka Mateo, refreshments and mulled wine.
The kickoff event in the Campfire Conversations series will take place Saturday, March 4, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Lefferts Historic House at 452 Flatbush Avenue in Prospect Park. For more information or the R.S.V.P for the free event, click here.
