In early fall the new building at 182 15th Street in the South Slope hit the market, but it seems there weren’t a lot of prospective buyers, as rental listings for the building have now surfaced. Rents in the 31-unit building are running from $2,000 for studios up to $3,900 for the most expensive three-bedrooms. Prices when the building was briefly on the market were starting at $365,000 for studios, $430,000 for one-bedrooms, $630,000 for two-bedrooms and $899,000 for three-bedrooms. This development was controversial in the neighborhood a few years ago because the developer wanted to construct a 12-story building under old zoning regulations, but community members successfully challenged his plans.
