It does look like rents are finally dipping in Brooklyn. Many owners are choosing to rent their new condos while waiting for further market increase before selling and with so many new buildings causing a sudden increase of rental inventory, rents are starting to drop just to get those units filled. Plus, many of these new buildings are no fee and offering 1-2 months free. Seems if you need to rent for a year or two, you may be in for a temporary break.. Also there is now a glut of gut renos rentals especially in bed stuy (lots of duplexes too!) – all are a much better deal than Fort Greene/Clinton Hill. Everyone seems to be heading to bed stuy that would have moved to fort greene/clinton hill. Anyone seen the same?
