Re the Bed Stuy film festival, what a great idea. I would have loved to have seen the first one. I’m going to try to go to the next one. The films sound really interesting. Good for him for doing something creative.
My wife and I lived in the Chocolate Factory for a year and the management company is full of crooks. The $1 mil lawsuit is excessive but they totally deserve it.
mold? really? you just let it go? how long would you live with this problem with a 3 year old in the apt? document it and then sue somebody if you don’t get the restitution.
and rodents can be easily exterminated and your apt can be really well sealed up by one trip from a good exterminator. not free, but not super expensive. AND, wouldn’t the building have a monthly exterminator come around and spray, put down rat houses, mouse traps, etc…? that’s pretty standard. wouldn’t the other owners want this too?
hard to believe this is real story actually. if this turns out to be b.s. from some crazies trying to extort money, i said it first.
ditto: I like that definition of commonwealth. It reminds of when there was a big fire in Windsor Castle ten or so years ago and suddenly it became the “People’s Castle”. Labor MP’s commented that it was the Queen’s palace until it burned down.
People are hanged. Clothes are hung. At least in that context.
The British and the Americans:
Two nations divided by a common language.
When ‘er majesty refers to the Commonwealth she means we’re all common and she has all the wealth.
“You could be hung for talking like that.”
I wouldn’t mind being hung.
Commonwealth sounds very socialistic. You could be hung for talking like that.
