Front Page Forum: Used Office Furniture in Brooklyn?
We’re in the process of moving into a new office space (more on that later) and so our thoughts have turned to things like file cabinets and conference tables. Any recommendations for good used stuff?

Hello,
Try online stores or at least search on net for better ideas, recently i change my home and garden furniture and i got lots of new ideas from http://www.museoshop.com/ , you can get better ideas for your office furniture too.

The best place I have gone to is office furinture place in manhattan. By far the best priced. There on 37th street. We have done our 3rd office and the service was great.
There is a place that fixes up stuff on Greene. It is something like to blocks West of Franklin, nearly on the corner. They have tables, shelves, doors, i don’t know about filing cabinets, but could be. If you don’t find anything there, maybe you could convince them to become a vendor. It seems very old school stuff.
look in the free section on Craigslist.
salvation army has tons of stuff
I second the recommendation for Chase Office Supply, located in the Brooklyn Navy Yard
Discount Office Furniture is definitely a good place to start. I’ve been up in the showroom on bergen street and they have a ton of stuff. If little scratches and dents don’t bother you then you could easily find what you’re looking for there. Call ahead. Showroom visits are by appt only.
Welcome to Wallabout Bottoms. Its only up from here.
Shop local and check out Repop or get some nice art at PEP gallery.

Two Jakes has nice stuff, though pricey.
Sidney’s place (which Karka mentions, formerly on Driggs and North 12th or so) moved to Bushwick – I’m pretty sure its on Starr Street between Irving and Wyckoff or Wyckoff and St. Nick. He has a lot of office stuff in the back room – always hit or miss in terms of quality and style, but the stock changes fairly often.
