Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy Presents Sunset Psychedelic
The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy kick offs a summer of fun on the waterfront with its annual benefit. Sunset Psychedelic will transform Pier 5 into a festive hotspot with music and dancing, food, cocktails, and far-out views. You will be able to view the next section of Brooklyn Bridge Park, opening later this year. Kids activities include face painting, hacky sack, and chalk drawing. The silent auction has items on the block including vacation homes, one-of-a-kind tours, and excursions.
Thursday, June 4. 6-9 p.m. Tickets: $25-125. Pier 5 of Brooklyn Bridge Park, Furman and Joralemon Streets.
Greenpoint/Williamsburg Contextual Rezoning Hearing
The City Planning Commission is having a hearing for the Greenpoint/Williamsburg contextual rezoning. There have been a few new developments in the rezoning. They include the Marino Tile building development on Graham Avenue is trying to vest a 12-story tower and another tower currently under construction on Franklin Avenue is trying to vest as many floors as possible. Attend to show your support for the rezoning.

“The Chosen Peoples of Crown Heights” Discussion
The Society of Old Brooklynites monthly meeting focuses on “The Chosen Peoples of Crown Heights.” Hear Professor Henry Goldschmidt’s research into the cultural and religious aspects of the neighborhood. Copies of his book on Crown Heights, Race And Religion Among the Chosen Peoples of Crown Heights, will be available for purchase and autographing.

BRIC Film Screening of Dear Mr. President
BRIC Rotunda Gallery is presenting a film about five Israeli and Palestinian teenage girls traveling in America. The film is being presented in conjunction with the annual BRIC Contemporary Art Education exhibition of student artwork created through the program.
