Green Fort Greene + Clinton Hill Meeting
This meeting will discuss topics including maximizing the number of tree pits, convincing other businesses to go green, and finding a method to track which businesses are participating in developing a code of green practices. Celebrate Brooklyn! Presents Jackson Browne
In 2004, Browne was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by fellow American musical artist and good friend, Bruce Springsteen. During the same year, Browne received an honorary Doctorate of Music from Los Angeles’ Occidental College a musical career that has combined an intensely personal artistry with a broader vision of social change and justice. Town Hall Meeting: Expanded Ferry Service
Brooklyn residents are invited to present their ideas about which new ferry routes should be established. Several locations have been proposed. Kindred the Family Soul
Part of BAM’s Rhythm & Blues Festival at MetroTech includes a performance by Kindred the Family Soul. This group, founded by Jill Scott, has tones of classic 70s sounds with contemporary styles. All are welcome to this free event.
