The S is the most underrated train in Brooklyn.
I live right across the street from this at 891 Bergen and I’ve been watching this development for several months now. Now you can lament the condo constructions in your long-gentrified Williamsburg, but if you lived in this neighborhood you would agree that ANY development is good development. Bringing residential to this block is inevitable, though, so I’m embracing it. None of you bleeding hearts saw what was there before, nor have you seen the condemnable dope complex down the street.
moreteasir – we did in the 70’s, that’s why we are on easy street today! it took a lot of nerve though and a few years before we could sleep well at night
I have no idea what this will look like in the end, but I do know that people will complain that it is ugly. Guaranteed.
Count your blessing, 1:54. It’s a rare occurrence that we are spared Montrose Morris’s verbose drivel.
“We are in the final stages of the Mutant Real Estate Bubble.”
How long is this going to take, anyway? You’ve been going on and on with that crap for about three years now.
Can’t wait to hear about NOPs stickball tournament out behind this lot.
15 comments and montrose morris has yet to add praise for the perfection that is crown heights. Unbelievable.
1:32 It’s describing Redhook which you bought for way too much and now regret because nobody wants to buy your old factory space with no services, subway, schools, etc.
“Oh yeah. Truly ripe. Who the hell wouldn’t want to live there? So many services. Such beautiful architecture. Such great schools. And oh so safe.”
Thanks for sharing. The neighborhood will benefit tremendously by your absence.
