We checked in on the progress of 115 Kane last week, which is most notable for the fact that its balconies will overlook the BQE traffic whizzing by underneath. The seven-story building will have 12 units spread over more than 15,000 square feet of space, so expect a lot of two-bedrooms. We don’t mind the uneven coloring of the brick but wish that they’d avoided the rounded lintels and stuck to a limestone-y color. Still, we’ve seen worse. What do you think they’re going to be able to get per square foot in this location?

This kind of looks like a Gino Vitale, but I don’t actually think it is. I know they have started construction again (because of the new permits) but I never actually see anyone working there… does anyone know who the developer is and/or when it it scheduled to be finished?
I imagine they will get more like $700 a foot for these. You watch.
re 12:19 it may happen but we will all be retired and living in florida before it is completed.
Isn’t this a rental?
those balconys are great for hanging scarcrows off of it will keep the hookers and the panhandlers away perfect
I heard rumors that they want to cover the BQE in this area. I’m sure it’ll be a number of years before it happens. May also be related to the proposal of taking down the BQE and making a tunnel along the waterfront.
Who would ever venture out onto a balcony hanging over the BQE? Noisy, no view.
Alma is great…Tiffany, very nice…the rest of “West” Carroll Gardens is the gateway to the BQE…you can have it.
I wouldn’t call Schnack on Union “right next door”, since that is a very long block between DeGraw and Kane. But, 11:20am is right that it is in PS 29 zone, which is a big draw if the 2 bedrooms are reasonably priced.
