Marble vendors for small pieces?
Anyone know a good vendor for small pieces of marble. We need two door saddles, about 8 sq. ft. We’re looking for someone who might have a selection. Thanks.

The problem with the bid stores is they only have standard sizes—I think 8 ft. is too big. If you go to places like Foro you have to bring in a template of what exactly you need. Please post when you’ve gotten what you want–I need one too!
You can try Foro Marble at 140 3rd Street Brooklyn (718) 852-2322. Caesarstone is also a good choice for saddles, they have them also.
Check out SMC Stone on Morgan Avenue in Greenpoint for a large selection of marble remnants. If Marcus is still working there, ask for his help.
Or go down to the marble shops on 13, 14, 15th streets near 2nd and 3rd avenue. They often have remnants, and I’m sure they’d be glad to sell these at a low price.
