Ikea says theirs won’t be in stock until April. Any recs on where to see some outdoor furniture on display? No plastic chairs from CVS. Want to see teak/teak immitation, metal, glass, etc. Tx.

  1. Has anyone bought patio furniture from Overstock.com? They have a bunch of stuff there and shipping is next to nothing, but how is the quality?

    YAY warm weather!

  2. The suburban and upstate big box stores already have outdoor furniture on display. Teak furniture available through Country Casual (catalog sales, actual showroom in Gaithersburg, Maryland): http://bit.ly/92vmnf — comparable to Restoration Hardware and (defunct but maybe-being-resurrected) Smith & Hawken. There’s always Design Within Reach, too.

  3. Take a look at Restoration Hardware, they have two lines of good looking outdoor stuff, as they say:

“weather-hardy sustainably harvested premium Grade A tea”

The St. Barts is the best looking in my opinion, and Belvedere isn’t too bad (a little boxy). If you want something more conventional the Santa Barbara is nice.

I haven’t seen any of their outdoor stuff in person, but recently I’ve been really impressed with their new lines.

  4. There are a couple …

What’s Irish and stays out all night?
    Paddy O’Furniture!

Q: What’s Irish and sits outside in the summertime?
    A: Paddy O’Furniture!

And, FYI, there is actually an outdoor furniture store called Paddy O’Furniture in Arizona … http://www.paddyo.com/
