Lawyer Recommendation for Refi
I am closing on a refi for my 2-family townhouse next week and am looking for a reliable, and affordable, Brooklyn real estate attorney to review the loan docs. Pretty straightforward, but could use a pair of eyes available on short notice. Recommendations welcome.

I have refinanced my home two times with the same major bank. I’ve never used a lawyer. Take Adam Dahill’s advice.
Ratliff doesn’t charge that much, quite reasonable.
No need to have a lawyer for the refinance. You have the three day right of rescission. Maybe 1 out of 100 people use a lawyer for a refinance. There is no contract to negotiate so it’s 1500 for someone to say it looks OK to sign.
Just make sure to check the note to confirm your interest rate and your term as well as checking to see if there is a prepayment penalty. None of the major lenders have them any more and the small “mom and pop” banks usually have a 1 year prepayment.
I have used Jim Ratliff in the past and been happy with him. 718-768-0025 He is on 4th Street
